Camagüey, Jan. 13.- The Oncological Hospital, María Curie, in Camagüey, assumes the Hematology service in the province and maintains all of its functions, in the midst of the current epidemiological situation in the territory.
As it happened in previous stages, the center will once again deal with treating patients in this specialty who were treated at the Amalia Simoni hospital, as this is only intended for the care of confirmed and suspected cases ofCovid-19.
Due to the sensitivity of the services provided by the oncology institution and the fact that in many cases the health status of the patients does not allow long waits, all of the in-hospital and emergency medical care is kept there.
As the director Humberto González Duarte told Cadena Agramonte, territorial medical benefits also continue to the neighboring provinces of Ciego de Ávila and Las Tunas, with the strict application of all hygienic measures to avoid contagion with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
Oncological services have always been a priority in the country, which is why they still remain with the increase in Covid-19 cases in the territory, which fell back to phase three of recovery from the pandemic on Tuesday. (Dania Díaz Socarrás / Radio Cadena Agramonte) (Photo: File)
