Havana, 19 Jan - Cuban tourism industry advances in the implementation of the Hygienic and Safe Tourism (T + HS) program, which aims to preserve the health of workers and customers, tweeted on Monday the Cuban Minister of Tourism. So far, 1,543 certificates have been granted, said the official, in reference to the accreditation of hotels with the T + HS condition after the demonstration of compliance with the health protocol, based on strict epidemiological parameters to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.
After four months of closure, Cuba reopened to foreign tourism on July 1, 2020, with measures such as physical distancing, isolation of facilities and frequent disinfection of hands and surfaces.
Thousands of tourists have already enjoyed different destinations, especially in the keys and in Varadero, also thanks to the wise “bet” of airlines and tour operators, mainly from Canada.
