Beijing, Jan. 20.- The Association of Cuban Residents in China Ernesto Che Guevara, today repudiated that the United States included his country in a list of sponsors of terrorism and demanded to annul it along with other unilateral measures such as the blockade.
The organization denounced that these types of actions directly affect the general development of the island and even compatriots residing abroad, as it implies limitations in access to banking institutions.
Even in times of pandemic, the United States government strives to make life more difficult for our people (…) Once again we reiterate that we are a noble and sovereign people. These are times to cooperate and be united, he said.
The Association recalled that despite being the victim of multiple violent attacks, Cuba overcame and saved lives by sending health brigades to various nations of the world.
He defined this new maneuver by Washington as another hoax orchestrated against the dignity of the island to affect its population.
We demand the exclusion of Cuba from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism. Cease sanctions, injustice and the blockade against our people, concluded the text.
In this way, the Association joined numerous governments, organizations and personalities around the world who condemn the US decision, taken just as President Donald Trump is passing through his last days in office amid controversy and chaos in the White House.
Cuba was excluded from the unilateral and questioned list of nations that sponsor terror in 2015, during the process of rapprochement with Washington in the second term of Barack Obama's term (2009-2017). (Text and photo: PL)
